A multipager is a website with several subpages – e.g. homepage, services, about us, references and contact. Each page deals with a separate topic and can be accessed via the navigation. This provides a clear structure, more depth per topic and strong SEO opportunities. In contrast to the one-pager , the multipager distributes content across several pages.

What is a multipager? (briefly explained)
With Multipager, content is distributed across several, thematically focused subpages. Visitors find what they are looking for more quickly, search engines understand the structure better – ideal for companies with multiple services, locations or target groups.
How is a multipager constructed?
The website is planned hierarchically: Main navigation, optional submenus, clear breadcrumbs. Typical structure:
- 1.Home page – overview, value proposition, primary CTAs.
- 2.Services – one page per service with benefits, process, CTA.
- 3.About us – team, expertise, values, pictures.
- 4.References – projects/cases, customer testimonials, logos.
- 5.Contact – form, telephone, opening hours, directions.
- 6.Blog – optional: specialist articles for SEO & knowledge transfer.
Example: Planning content for a multipager
The following points are interactive: On hover/click, an additional area opens with a tip. After exiting, it remains visible for 2 seconds and then closes gently.
-
Define the main pages (e.g. Start, Services, About us, References, Contact, Blog).
Tip: Maximum 5-8 items in the main navigation – everything else in the submenu. -
Use speaking names (e.g. services instead of “What we do”).
Tip: Prioritize important pages to the left; always place contacts prominently. -
Each side needs a goal: inform, convince, schedule.
Tip: Conclude each page with a clear CTA (contact, appointment, request a quote). -
Forward users in a meaningful way (e.g. Start → Performance → Reference → Contact).
Tip: “Learn more” links near relevant paragraphs increase the time spent on the page. -
Each page: own meta title, H1, focus keyword and short, clean URL.
Tip: Activate breadcrumbs and use consistent H2/H3 subheadings. -
Compact texts, optimized images/videos, clear buttons – mobile first.
Tip: Keep an eye on Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) – lazyload media.
Conclusion: Multipager briefly summarized
A multipager is ideal for several services or a lot of content. It creates an overview, strengthens SEO and leads users specifically to suitable pages. First plan structure & navigation – then content per page with a clear goal and CTA. Also read the comparison: What is a one-pager?
